2006 Artisans’ Porchwalk

 

 

The 8th annual Artisans’ Porchwalk will be held in historic Lititz, PA which is celebrating its 250th anniversary.  The show will be held on Friday, October 13 (10-5 pm) and Saturday, October 14 (10 – 4 pm).  Admission is free and the show will be held rain or shine.

 

This year the Porchwalk is proudly sponsored by Moravian Manor, which is also one of the eight locations where the artisans’ work will be displayed.  Thirty seven returning exhibitors will be joined by six new artisans.

 

The 2006 participants will exhibit watercolors, oils, acrylics, colored pencils, photography, mixed media, folk art, painted boxes and chests, textile and fiber art, sculptured dolls, woolen rugs, woodcarvings, felted purses, pottery, sundials, quilted wall hangings, baskets, Springerle cookies and ornaments, beaded accessories, scherenschnitte, stationery, jackets and table decorations, miniature furniture,, wooden Moravian stars, exotic wood pepper mills, tin stars, hand-woven shawls and scarves, teepees for tots, as well as a wide variety of jewelry items using glass beads, precious metals and gemstones.

 

Lunch, a Chinese Auction and a Bake Sale can be found at the main entrance of Moravian Manor, 300 West Lemon Street, which is Stop #5.  Lunch is available from 11 am – 3pm each day with a variety of items.

 

The Porchwalk Artisans donated their works to the auction to raise money for the Lamplighters.  The Lamplighters are a volunteer association supporting the residents of Moravian Manor.  The proceeds will be used to purchase a rocker/glider for the residents.
