Why is my gift important?
Moravian Manor is committed to providing high quality care and services to residents in the health center and in personal care regardless of their ability to pay the full cost. Medical Assistance (Medicaid) does not pay the full cost of care and there is no financial aid available to residents in personal care. Your gifts are a vital component of our benevolent care ministry!
Are my gifts to Moravian Manor tax deductible?
Moravian Manor is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all gifts to Moravian Manor are considered tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. A charitable gift receipt is issued for all donations.
Are gifts-in-kind tax deductible?
IRS rules prohibit us from assigning a specific value to your physical gift. Your gift may be tax deductible within IRS regulations to the extent of the fair market value. It is the donor’s responsibility to ascertain the value and it is recommended that you consult your tax advisor. In certain instances, a qualified appraisal is needed in order to claim a tax deduction.
Can I remain anonymous?
Moravian Manor will honor a donor’s request to remain anonymous. Please let us know of your wishes so we can honor them.
Can I make a gift by credit card?
Can I donate US Savings Bonds?
US Savings Bonds can be donated through a bequest to Moravian Manor. The Treasury Department restricts the transfer of savings bonds during one’s lifetime. The estate would not be subject to the untaxed accrued interest on bonds bequeathed to Moravian Manor.
Can I donate Stock?
Donating appreciated securities held more than a year is a wise choice because you avoid capital gains tax and receive a donation for the fair market value at the time of the gift. Contact the development office for transfer instructions. Securities must be transferred directly to Moravian Manor in order to qualify for the tax benefits.
Is Moravian Manor required to register to raise funds?
Moravian Manor is not required to register with the state but voluntarily files a registration statement with the Pennsylvania Department of State under the provision of the Act of December 19, 1990 (P.L. 1200, No 202) known as the Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act.

Does Moravian Manor sell its mailing list?
Moravian Manor never releases your private information to any outside agency. Our mailing list is for Manor communication and it will not be sold or distributed. All information remains confidential.
What happens if I don’t designate a purpose for my gift?
Gifts that are unrestricted are applied to the General Endowment Fund by a resolution of the Board of Trustees.
