Moravian Manor is proud to partner with several hospice organizations in order to enhance the care and services provided to residents and their families during one of life’s most difficult challenges.

Hospice is a specialized kind of care for people who have weeks or months rather than years to live and who are coping with any serious illness. Support also is provided to the patient’s family and caregivers.

With a focus on comfort and quality of life, hospice care provides expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient’s needs and wishes.

When you decide it’s time for hospice services, Moravian Manor will continue to be the primary caregiver; however, hospice will enhance our care with the following services:

  1. Payment for medications and equipment directly related to the terminal diagnosis.
  2. Provide RN assessment several times a week for pain control, etc.
  3. Depending on the plan that is set up with the patient and service additional care giving may be provided a minimum of once a week.
  4. Offer emotional support to family and resident through their compassionate team of social workers and chaplain.
  5. Bereavement counseling for families, residents, and staff.
